Art is a bigger part of our life, it is in our voice when we sing and it is in our words when we speak. Arts in all its forms, is in a way, an escape from the hardships of life… In the arts, people find solace, peace and beauty. Like food feeds our bodies, arts fed our souls. Nonetheless, like flowers in the field, “art is in the eyes of the beholder”.

Through the Bank Windhoek Arts Festival sponsorships, we encourage artists to sustain and develop fine-quality arts. The Bank Windhoek Arts Festival programme has proudly sponsored a variety of events, ranging from theatre, visual, dance, etc.

The Bank Windhoek Arts Festival was created to give a platform to Namibian artists to establish themselves within the local industry, while creating enjoyment for art lovers. It also creates a platform such as the Bank Windhoek Triennale, where Namibian visual artist can present their work at a national exhibition and also compete for favourable prizes.

The Bank Windhoek 2011 Triennale competition received 467 entries which were divided into six categories, Two Dimensional Category, Three Dimensional Category, Photography / New Media, Most Promising Artists, Crafts Category and Judges’ Special Mention.
